  • Reference Index - the interest rate set for the 3-month floating rate deposit in MDL, proposed by the Bank to individual customers.

    The Reference Index applicable for an interest period is set as follows:

    • on February 18, for the Interest Period between March 5 and June 4
    • on May 18, for the Interest Period between June 5 and September 4
    • on August 18, for the Interest Period between September 5 and December 4
    • on November 18, for the Interest Period between December 5 and March 4.

    It is used for the interest rate for the following credit products:

  • Internal index - the interest rate on deposits in MDL, offered to individuals for a period of 6 months.

    The reference index applicable for an interest period shall be set either on 18 February, with effect from 5 March, or on 18 August, with effect from 5 September of each calendar year, depending on the which of these data is closer.

    It is used to calculate the interest rate for the following credit products:

  • LIBOR 6M Index ("London Interbank Offered Rate") - is an independent, internationally recognized benchmark, representing the minimum or basic interest rate on loans granted to senior banks for a specified period, on the London market. The index represents the arithmetic average of the interest rates applied by the main banks, for the most important convertible currencies on the international financial market.

    The reference index applicable for an interest period shall be determined either on 25 March or on 25 September of each calendar year, whichever is the closer.

    It is used to calculate the interest rate for the following credit products:

  • EURIBOR 6M Index ("Euro Interbank Offered Rate") - the interest rate at which European banks lend to each other in EUR. It is calculated daily, as an average of the interest rates charged by the most important banks in the euro area.

    The reference index applicable to an interest period shall be determined either on 25 March or on 25 September of each calendar year, whichever is the closer.

    It is used to calculate the interest rate for the following credit products:

  • CHIBID 6M Index (“Chisinau Interbank Offered Rate”) - the average interest rate at which local banks are available to borrow money from other banks on the interbank money market.

    CHIBOR 6M Index (“Chisinau Interbank BID Rate”) - the average interest rate at which local banks are available to lend money to other banks on the interbank money market.

    The CHIBID / CHIBOR 6M index is calculated as the average of the CHIBID 6M and CHIBOR 6M rates displayed for each banking day, between March 1 - August 31 and September 1 - February 28.

  • Indice Programului Prima Casă - weighted average interest rate on newly attracted deposits, in national currency, with a term of 6 to 12 months.

    The reference index applicable for the period 1 July to 31 December will be based on the weighted average interest rate on newly attracted deposits, in national currency, with a term of 6 to 12 months, published by the NBM for May and for 1 January. - June 30 will be based on the rate published by the NBM for November of the previous year.

    It is used to calculate the interest rate for the following credit products:
